From the Desk of Our Commander
Legionnaires,
Our
National organization has increased membership dues by $5.00, effective 1
January 2016, to provide needed funding for the various veteran's programs we
support. In-turn, this increases our
local dues. Therefore, effective 1
January 2016, Turner-Ragan dues will be $35.00 annual. With that said, I encourage all members that
haven't to renew their dues prior to 1 Jan 16. Our local goal is to have 100% by Nov 11, help us make this goal. More information about the increase can be
found in the "Dispatch" @ http://www.legion.org/dispatch

Steven (Disabled Vet) and Tonya Steinbach (mother), We are converting a garage into a living space and two wheel chair ramps for Braylon, their special needs son. Currently, Braylon does not have his own room and is in an open area of the home. The outside area of the home needs to have some ramps. It is very difficult to push Braylon up and into the home with existing materials. By converting the garage into a universal living space, this would improve the quality of life for both parents, Braylon and family. We will be adding walls to the garage area, larger windows, adding exterior doors, adding siding, creating a universal bathroom, and indoor ramp into the room. We will be also

From the Desk Of Chaplain Thomas Philpot Legionnaires:
You’ve done it again! The Commanderand I would like to thank all of you for the support you give the Post for theThanksgiving dinners and the bikes for Christmas. It was a great success. Wegave away forty meals for Thanksgiving and for Christmas we collected $1709, withthat plus bikes that you donated, we were able to give fifty-two bikes tothirty-six needy families in our community. This could not have been done if itwere not for your kindness and generosity. As Legionnaires we can certainly bepride of what we did for those families in our community. So, again thanks you for your help and may Godkeep you in the hollow of his hand.
